YES TO CARROTS EXFOLIATING CLEANSER

I have got a very sensitive skin and so there are only so many products that I can try! I am very particular about my skin. I only try something that I feel would work really well for me. I used to try products after reading about a dozen reviews but to be honest most of those times the products didn't work for me at all. So now all I stick to is the products that I know are a 100% going to work for my skin.

Yes To is a brand that I wanted to try for a really long time now. But I thought it was a really over priced brand. It claims to have 99% Natural ingredients in it's products which impresses me the most. Again,  not all natural or organic products really work for my skin. So I am really happy that I have found a brand that serves me with the perfect blend of ingredients.

Whenever I am trying a skincare brand, I try to go with their face wash first because I feel like it gives me a pretty good idea about the whole range. So naturally when I was finally done with my Dove Face Wash I decided to give the face wash from their Carrots range a try as it is meant for normal to dry skin. BOY! I am so pleased with the results. It is a really mild exfoliating face wash and the bonus part is that it is fragrance free! It comes in a 110 ml tube (another check in the 'perfect face wash list') and it really cleanses my skin at the end of the day. It's most probably psychological but I feel like it makes my skin feel so fresh (a must in this INDIAN SUMMER).

So overall it really works for me and I have already ordered another one! *GUILTY* I also can't wait to try other products from this range.

Have you tried any of the products from Yes To? Leave a comment below if you have tried any of the products or even if you have any products in your wishlist from this brand.

Shower Routine

In the previous post I told you guys about my everyday morning skincare routine (summer edition). Let's talk about my shower routine. When it comes to shower gels/creams I love fruity and flowery scents as opposed to a creamy textured soapy smelling shower cream. Also, I use a scrub every 3 days just to get rid of all the dead skin and tan and for shaving/waxing I prefer shaving in the summer and waxing in the winter. Getting into the routine:

1. For a shower gel/shower cream I prefer The Body Shop. They have so many varieties and especially their gels are my favourite this season. Right now I am using the shower gel from the Argan Oil range. It just smells so freaking good.

2. After shower I use the body butter by The Body Shop in Honey Mania. See, a body moisturizer is a staple in my routine. I would never ever skip it. I think it is more essential to moisturize your body as it gets exposed to the sun the most.

3. For shaving I use the regular Gillette Razor. I think this is the one time use one.

4. Rather than using a shaving cream, I think a conditioner gives the closest shave. I use the Acia Berry and Avocado conditioner by Organix. There's nothing special about it. It just works well for shaving.

As you must have noticed my shower routine is very simple and basic. What is the one product that you love in your routine? Let me know in the comments below.

Until next time,

Top 5 Red Lipsticks

If you have been reading my blog for a while now you will know that I am a self-confessed lipstick hoarder. I own way too many lipsticks. Let's just say that I own more lipsticks than you can count on your fingers. As much as I love wearing makeup that is very basic and minimal, finishing off my look with a red lipstick is my favourite. Today I am sharing with you my Top 5 Red Lipsticks.

1. Rubis Rouge (157) - Chambor: This was my first ever red lipstick. Actually this was my first lipstick ever. And so this is where my obsession for lipsticks started. It is matte in texture which means that it stays on for about a couple of hours but then it starts bleeding out of the edges. This can be solved by using a similar lip liner before applying this lipstick.

2. Kate Moss (107) - Rimmel: I LOVE this lipstick. I think this is my second one. It is definitely a very dark shade, but it goes with a lot of my outfits. It is one of my most loved out of all the red lipsticks I own. Again it is matte in texture. I don't think there is a lipstick formula that I have tried that is this perfect. I think it is safe to say that this is as good as they come.

3. Pure Scarleto - L'oreal Collection Star Reds: This is one of the more recent addition into my collection of red lipsticks. At first I was a bit confused as to whether to buy it or not, but when I saw  it onBlake Lively, I knew I had to get it. Love the colour, love the formula, the only thing that there is, is that it need reapplication in about an hour or so. Other then that, I love this one.

4. Pure Garnett - L'oreal Collection Star Reds: This is the darkest coloured lipstick I own. It has got a very purple tone to it but when you apply it, it kind of looks vampy red. Again, I bought  this one because I loved it on Sonam Kapoor. The formula is great, but again it needs an often reapplication like the above one.

*I have done a full review of the above two lipsticks which you can read here.

5. Velourlips - Australis: This brand is an Australian brand. I bought it while I was studying in Australia. I think this is the most red lipstick out of all I own. The formula is super matte and it stays on for a long time. The only problem I have with this one is that it dries out my lips because of the super matte formula. And it is one of the Top 5 because I love this shade of red and plus, I don't have to apply it over for the whole night.

Have you got any red lipsticks that you think I should try?

Skincare Routine

When it comes to makeup, I love trying new products every now and then. But for skincare I like to stick to a routine for at least about a month or more. It depends on how well the products work together. If they all work well, I would stick to the routine for a longer period but if I don't like the combination, I would just change the product after using it completely. I really like my routine right now but I will most probably change it soon.

1. I would wash my face before anything. I wash it using the Dove Facewash. I have got a real love hate relationship with this facewash. I love it one day and then for some reason I would hate it the next day. I don't even know why. But, it does clean my face well.

2. After facewash, I would directly apply a lip balm. The one I am currently using is by The Body Shop, from it's Argan Oil range.

3. Then I would spray some Vichy Thermal Water on my face and neck to really wake me up. I love this stuff. To know more about it in detail here is the review that I did.

4. I would The Body Shop Aloe Vera toner using a cotton pad. I really like this toner because it doesn't dry my face and for someone with really dry skin this works well.

5. After I let the toner dry, I would use the Garnier Under Eye roll on. I was really very skeptical about this one. I didn't think it would work at all. But, surprise - surprise! It really does work. I don't remember having any under eye bags since the day I started using this.

Tip: Keep it in the fridge for about 15 mins before you use it to get the best results.

6. I finish off my routine with The Body Shop Vitamin E daily moisturizer. I got this about a month ago when it was still winter. I find it works way better now that it's summer.

*I don't think it is fair to include sunscreen in the routine because I am absolutely rubbish at it. I know it is so bad when you don't apply it. I forget to apply it more than half the time but I am trying to be more regular. I am using the VLCC Matte Look Sunscreen Lotion these days.

So this is it for my skincare routine.

Let me know if you have any products that work well for you as I am always on the lookout for new products.

Until next time,
